Ingredients

Ingredients for No Bake Peanut Butter Protein Bites laid out on a wood surface.
  • Rolled Oats - I used rolled oats for this recipe.
  • Vanilla Protein Powder - use your favorite brand!
  • Ground Flax Seeds - to add some healthy fats to the recipe.
  • Mini Chocolate Chips - Because chocolate and peanut butter taste sooo good together!
  • Peanut Butter - I used smooth peanut butter.
  • Maple Syrup - Adds some sweetness.

See recipe card for quantities.

Instructions

Dry ingredients in a white medium size bowl with a big spoon leaning on the side of the bowl.

In a medium size bowl, add oats, vanilla protein powder, ground flax seed and mini chocolate chips. Stir to combine.

Peanut butter and maple syrup on top of the dry ingredients in a white medium size bowl.

Add peanut butter and maple syrup.

The mixture is in a medium size bowl with a large spoon leaning on the side of the bowl.

Use a large spoon to mix in the peanut butter and maple syrup.

Mixture has been shaped into balls that are resting on a medium size plate.

Using your hands, take one tablespoon of the mixture and gently roll it into a ball. Place ball on plate and repeat with remaining mixture. Refrigerate for one hour. Remove bites from the fridge and enjoy! Makes 20 protein bites.

Hint: Make sure to mix the dry ingredients together before adding the peanut butter and maple syrup to ensure each ingredient is evenly distributed in the mixture.

Substitutions

  • Rolled Oats - I used rolled oats in this recipe but you can easily swap quick oats for the rolled oats.
  • Protein Powder - I used vanilla protein powder. Chocolate protein powder can be substituted for the vanilla protein powder.
  • Maple Syrup - I used maple syrup to sweeten the protein bites but you could substitute honey if you prefer.
  • Mini Chocolate Chips - Mini chocolate chips work best in this recipe because they distribute more evenly into the mixture. In a pinch, regular chocolate chips can be used.
  • Peanut Butter - Any type of nut butter can be substituted for the peanut butter.

Equipment

No Bake Peanut Butter Protein Bites are super easy to make with minimal equipment required. All you need is a bowl, measuring cups, a plate and a spoon!
