Chocolate Chip Blondies are a huge hit because they are like a cross between a brownie and a chocolate chip cookie so you get the best of both worlds with this recipe. They are simple to make and only require 7 ingredients. Simply mix up the dough, press it into the pan and pop it into the oven. Chocolate Chip Blondies are gooey, chocolatey and decadent and they make a great dessert when you are looking for something on the richer side. They taste amazing with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.

Ingredients

- Unsalted Butter, Melted - Helps to give the blondies that nice rich flavor.
- Brown Sugar - Helps to keep the blondies soft and moist.
- Eggs - Helps to bind the ingredients together.
- Vanilla - Adds some flavor.
- Flour - I used all-purpose flour for this recipe. I have also tried this recipe with oat flour but it did not turn out.
- Salt - Brings out the flavor of the other ingredients.
- Chocolate Chips - Use your favorite type of chocolate chip.

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F. Line an 8x8 baking sheet with parchment paper.

Add melted butter and brown sugar to a medium size bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat at medium speed for one minute.

Add eggs and vanilla. Use mixer to beat for another minute. Use a spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl as necessary.

Sprinkle salt over the dough. Add flour. Set electric mixer to low and beat until the flour starts to incorporate. As the flour mixture starts to incorporate, you can increase the speed to medium. Use a spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl.

Add chocolate chips. Use a spatula to fold in the chocolate chips.

Add dough to prepared baking pan. Use a spatula to spread the dough to the edges of the pan.

Bake at 350F for 20-23 minutes. The blondies will still look undercooked in the middle but they will continue cooking after they have been removed from the oven. Cool for one hour before slicing into bars. Makes 16 blondies.
Hint: Let the melted butter cool slightly before mixing with the brown sugar.
Substitutions
- Unsalted Butter - Salted butter can be substituted for the unsalted butter. If you use salted butter then omit the salt from the recipe.
Equipment
Electric Mixer - I used an electric mixer for this recipe. If you do not have an electric mixture, you can use a large spoon to mix the dough. Just be sure to mix it thoroughly.
Storage
Chocolate Chip Blondies for can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
Chocolate Chip Blondies freeze well. Place blondies in a freezer safe container or bag and freeze up to three months. Thaw in the fridge or at room temperature when ready to eat.
Top tip
Do not overbake the blondies. If you overbake the blondies, they will be dry. Bake for 25 minutes or until the edges look set. The middle will still look underbaked but it will continue to bake after you remove it from the oven.
